Tent Schools

Tents schools were set up by GMRVF as a targeted program to educate the children of migrant labourers in Bangalore. The Foundation and the Department of Education entered into an MoU to set up these innovative community bridge schools - to eventually enable these children to join the mainstream.

Highlights

GMRVF sets up the tent schools in the settlements of migrant labour communities.

The Foundation sets up temporary school structures, provides community teachers, nutritious snacks and a whole range of health care support such as health check-ups, awareness inputs, life skill training, etc.

The support from Govt. included providing mid-day meal, taking over nutrition cost from GMRVF, quality training programs for the community teachers, provision of teaching learning materials and ensuring availability of full time or part time govt. teacher at tent schools over a period of time.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.
