Swacch Bharath Initiatives

GMRVF has built 28 rural community toilets and urban pay-and-use toilets. The effort is to set benchmarks for public sanitation. Toilets have been designed based on extensive user-surveys, and incorporate environment-friendly features. These toilets are also venues for sanitation awareness.

Foundation also encourages families to build Individual Sanitary Lavatories and builds/renovates toilets in the needy government schools.

Highlights

The design of the toilets takes into account aesthetic and functional set-up, uniform standard, ample ventilation, adequate space and cleanliness, easy access, and beautiful landscape etc.

The initiative has succeeded in sensitizing and motivating community to use proper sanitation facilities.

About 40000 people use the community toilet facilities built by Foundation every month.

Family Cards have been issued in case of rural community toilets which has built a sense of ownership among its users.

Over 1000 families were supported for construction of Individual Sanitary Lavatories and about 150 school toilets have been built or repaired, benefiting over 13,000 children.

Raising Self-esteem!

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
