GMR Varalakshmi Centre for Empowerment & Livelihoods (GMRVCEL) – Raikal

GMR Varalakshmi Foundation started a vocational training Centre in Raikal village which is a Mandal Headquarters in one of the most backward parts of Karimnagar District in Telangana State in April 2016. This Centre was established in partnership with two other organizations namely Jeeyar Educational Trust and Prathima Foundation.

The Centre has been set up in the building provided by Jeeyar Foundation after it got renovated by GMR Varalakshmi Foundation to suit the training center requirements.

Highlights

The boys selected for the training are provided with boarding and lodging facilities.

The Centre focus on imparting good quality skill training along with placement opportunities.

So far, the institute has trained over 783 candidates (Female - 293 and Male -490) of whom over 623 (Female - 247 and Male - 376) are placed.

The Centre is 4 star rated under NSDC and received accreditation for 3 courses and hence students get Govt. certification if they clear their assessments.
